The higher cost of changes applies to wired installations: a new route after plastering means chasing walls and refinishing them. If the system is built with wireless components – Loxone, Ampio and above all Somfy – the cost is not higher than at earlier stages, provided that power is available where the device goes. The exception is Somfy drives with an integrated photovoltaic panel: they need no power cable, so even without one the cost does not increase.
